We make pinot seriously yet take ourselves lightly. Our pinot grapes come from around the state and are blended together to create a consistently high quality California blend. Our goal is to put Mark West pinot into as many wine glasses as we can. We never compromise quality, avor or the quintessential fruit forward style of California pinot.
Our grapes are grown on the cool coastal regions of Northern California down through the sunny coasts of Monterey and Santa Barbara.
Harvest started in early September and continued for approximately two months. After cold soaking for up to five days, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged in French oak for 8-10 months before bottling.
Enticing aromas of strawberry and raspberry with barrel notes of caramel, vanilla and baking spices. Oak aging rounds out the palate and gives the wine its body. The wine drinks of deep, concentrated raspberry, cherry pie with a touch of cola berry. The wine shows juicy fruit texture and subtle oak.
